MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE, USA (May 10, 2007)- Monica Forti is the new director of The Seam's international business unit. She will manage the company's International Marketplace and develop new business lines related to global products. Her office will be based near Milano, Italy.

The Seam's International Marketplace launched in 2002 for traders of Australian, CIS, West African and Brazilian growths. It was quickly expanded to include most other Latin American growths as well as Greek and Spanish. More recently The Seam has begun to offer auction services to origin sellers such as Brazil.

Prior to joining The Seam, Monica Forti worked in cotton trading and operations management for Indutech Spa in Milano. During her tenure in trading, she developed an in depth knowledge of world cotton growths, especially CIS and Brasilian cottons. She also has traveled widely in cotton spinning countries and developed relationships with a broad range of industry participants such as mills, agents and international merchants.

She will focus on integrating The Seam's International Marketplace with trading technologies in the field.
