Farmers gathered last week in New Orleans for the 2022 Commodity Classic. Despite high input costs, supply chain disruptions and a war in Ukraine, they still have a job to do in providing the nation’s food and fuel, and this event allowed them to gain greater insight into their business.
About 7,100 people registered for the convention, and while not all may have made the trip to Louisiana, those who did attended educational sessions — including talks on marketing and on-farm production — walked the trade show floor looking at the latest technology for the farm, and crafted policy for the corn, soybean, sorghum and wheat industries.
Farm Progress sent its editors to cover the 2022 Commodity Classic. The photo gallery provides a glimpse of the three-day event, including U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack’s visit.
